Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This page explains how Poochopolis may earn money from the site, and how we tell you when a commercial relationship is involved. We wrote it to match what is live today — not a generic “we might run ads someday” placeholder with no Amazon detail.

As an Amazon Associate, Poochopolis earns from qualifying purchases. That is the standard Amazon Associates disclosure. The rest of this page is the plain-language version of what it means on our pages.

Poochopolis participates in the Amazon Associates Program. Shop buttons, many in-article product URLs, and some “product picks” blocks include a tracking tag so Amazon can credit a referral. If you click those links and buy a qualifying product on Amazon, we may earn a commission. That commission does not change the price you pay.

Checkout, payment, shipping, returns, and product warranties are Amazon’s (or the third-party Amazon seller’s) — not ours. We never see your Amazon password or card number. Privacy details are in our Privacy Policy (affiliate shopping section).

Amazon product links on Poochopolis typically use rel="nofollow sponsored" and open in a new tab. That marks them as advertising under common search and FTC practice; it does not mean the surrounding guide is a paid advertorial.

Where you will see them

  • Shop product pages. “View on Amazon” buttons include a short affiliate note and a link back to this page. Prices shown are a recent Amazon snapshot and may change.
  • Guides. Buying guides and how-tos may link to Amazon in the body and in a “Product picks” section, which is labeled with an affiliate disclosure.
  • Blog posts. Some posts include the same product-picks treatment when we recommend specific gear.

Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. Clinic websites, park pages, map providers, and ordinary citations are not Amazon Associates referrals.

Editorial independence

We choose products because we think they help a real dog-owner problem — beds, outdoor gear, grooming, food, toys, and similar categories we actually cover. Amazon does not write our articles. A commission is not a promise that an item is the only good option, that it fits your dog, or that a listing has not changed since we last checked.

We do not accept payment from brands to rank a product as “best” without saying so. If a page were ever paid placement, we would label it as sponsored on that page (see below). That is not how the shop works today.

Prices, availability, and safety

Amazon prices, stock, colors, and size charts change. Confirm the live listing before you buy. Check recalls, ingredients, and sizing on the retailer’s page. Product mentions are not a warranty and are not veterinary advice — see the Disclaimer.

Display advertising

We do not currently run display ads (no ad network, no pop-ups, no advertising cookies or marketing pixels such as Facebook or TikTok). If we add display advertising later, we will update this page and the Privacy Policy, and we will not let ads bury the content or wreck page performance.

We do not currently publish sponsored articles or paid brand partnerships. If we do, the relationship will be disclosed clearly on that page (for example, “Sponsored” or “Paid partnership”), not only buried in the footer.

Directory listings

Veterinarian, groomer, dog park, and pet store listings are directory entries, not paid ads. Businesses can submit themselves for review; a submission is not a purchase, and pending listings do not appear on the map. We do not currently sell featured pins, leads, or claimed-listing subscriptions. If that becomes a product, it will be labeled as advertising or a paid listing, and this page will be updated.
