Terms of Service — Poochopolis

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are the rules for using Poochopolis (“Poochopolis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) at poochopolis.com. By visiting, searching, creating an account, submitting a listing, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

We wrote these Terms to match how the site works today: guides, breed profiles, a shop of curated product pages, a blog, a U.S. directory (veterinarians, groomers, dog parks, and pet stores), Near me maps, a contact form, and optional member accounts. Who we are

Poochopolis is a U.S. website for dog owners, powered by Stackifide. We are not a veterinary clinic, pet store, trainer, or the businesses listed in the directory. We do not currently process payments on this site.

Eligibility

The site is for a general audience of dog owners and is not directed at children under 13. You may not use Poochopolis if you are under 13. If you create an account, you represent that you are at least 18, or that a parent or guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Accounts

Registration is optional. Most of the site works without an account. If you register, you must provide accurate information, keep your password confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us if you believe someone else is using it.

You can update your name and email, or delete your account, from your profile. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, appear automated or abusive, or that we need to close to protect the site or other people. Closing an account does not erase public directory listings you submitted if we have already published them; contact us if you need a listing taken down.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the site lawfully. You may not:

Interfere with the site, other users, or our servers (including flooding forms or bypassing rate limits).
Probe, scrape, or bulk-harvest the directory, maps, or other content in a way that overloads the site or copies a substantial portion of it for republication.
Submit false, misleading, or invented business or location information.
Use the contact form, business form, or any email we publish for spam, advertising dumps, or harassment.
Attempt to access admin areas, other people’s accounts, or non-public data.
Misrepresent yourself as Poochopolis, as a listed business you do not represent, or as a veterinarian or other professional affiliated with us.

Linking to public pages is welcome. Copying our guides, breed profiles, or listings wholesale is not. Fair-use quotation with attribution is fine; mass republication is not.

Directory and submissions

Find pages and the Near me map show places in our directory. Listings come from public map data, editorial review, and businesses that submit themselves. A pin is not an endorsement, a claim that the place is currently open, or a guarantee of quality. Confirm details with the business before you visit. Full limits are in the Disclaimer.

If you submit a listing, you represent that you are authorized to do so, that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that you are not inventing missing hours, services, or credentials. Submissions stay pending until we review them. We may edit, refuse, or later unpublish a listing. Publication is not a paid advertisement and is not a certification.

We do not currently sell claimed listings, leads, or directory ads. If that changes, we will update these Terms and the Advertising Disclosure.

Your submissions

Contact messages and listing submissions remain yours in the sense that you are responsible for them. You grant Poochopolis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, display, and adapt that material as needed to operate the site — for example, to reply to you and to publish a reviewed listing. We may remove content that is unlawful, inaccurate, or inconsistent with these Terms.

Do not submit personal health records, payment card numbers, or anyone else’s private information. The site is not a medical records system.

Our content and intellectual property

Poochopolis text, design, trademarks, original photography, and original illustrations are owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Some breed illustrations are AI-generated editorial artwork; they are not photographs of a specific dog for sale. Directory names and addresses describe real places and remain those businesses’ information; our compilation, maps, and page copy are ours.

You may view and share links for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, scrape, or republish a substantial portion of the site, or use our branding to imply we endorse you, without written permission.

Informational use only

Content is general information for dog owners. It is not veterinary, training, nutrition, or legal advice, and using the site does not create a professional relationship with us. See the Disclaimer. You are responsible for decisions about your dog’s care, products you buy, and places you visit.

Shopping and Amazon

Shop pages and some guides include links to products sold by others, primarily on Amazon. We do not manufacture those products, hold inventory, or process checkout. If you click through and buy, your contract is with Amazon (or another retailer), under that retailer’s terms. Prices and availability on our pages are snapshots and may be out of date.

Some links are Amazon Associates affiliate links, disclosed on the Advertising Disclosure. A commission does not make us the seller or the warrantor of the product.

Third-party services

The site uses or links to third parties, including Google Analytics, LocationIQ (maps and geocoding), Amazon, listed businesses’ own websites, and font delivery. Their terms and privacy practices govern those services. We are not responsible for third-party sites, products, or listings after you leave Poochopolis.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided as-is and as-available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement — including as to third-party businesses, products, map pins, and user circumstances we cannot see.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Poochopolis and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site, inability to use it, reliance on content, visits to listed places, or products purchased through affiliate links. Our total liability for claims relating to the site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100), except where law does not allow that limit.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent the law allows. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that restriction is prohibited.

You agree to hold Poochopolis harmless from claims that arise from your misuse of the site, your submissions (including inaccurate listings), or your violation of these Terms or of others’ rights — except to the extent a claim is caused by our own willful misconduct.

Changes, governing law, and contact

Changes

We may update these Terms when the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will post the new Terms on this page.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would apply another country’s law. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, courts in the United States will have jurisdiction, except where consumer-protection law in your residence requires otherwise.
